The German Pinscher Club held their open show on Saturday the 18th April at WPBW following the breed classes. This was the first open show for the club for nearly 10 years and represented a welcome step forward. The club has continued to attract new members who are supportive and enthusiastic and everyone was looking forward to the show. A lot of work goes into organising these shows and thanks to our chairman Heather Smith and others the show went without a hitch.
We were kindly sponsored by Royal Canin who provided us with prizes for all of the classes, we had some wonderful Rosettes and a tempting buffet of food. The show had 14 classes including a stakes class giving everyone an opportunity to enter a variety of dogs and even win some prize money.
Mrs F Krall had kindly consented to be our judge. The show was open to all GP owners and we had a very good entry of 22. It was lovely to see new puppies through to the veterans entered….the circle of GP life continued and thriving.
The main results were as follows: BD Aritaur Gene Genie, RBD Aritaur Kula Shaker, BB and BIS CH Aritaur Fabulosity, RBB Legendorf Flora Fiona via Aritaur, BP Brintala’s Athena at Fourfitz and BV Tubize Ginger Rogers. Congratulations to all the winners. We would like to thank everyone for attending and supporting us and thank the Welsh Kennel club for allowing us to hold our open show at WPBW. Following the show we had a lovely celebration all in all a successful and enjoyable day…..we’re now busy planning the next one.
